Palin’s Small Alaska Town Secured Big Federal Funds
So much for someone who fights against earmarks. It’s politics as usual for Sarah Palin. It’s amazing how much this woman lies. From the Washington Post:
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin employed a lobbying firm to secure almost $27 million in federal earmarks for a town of 6,700 residents while she was its mayor, according to an analysis by an independent government watchdog group.
What’s funny, is she has come out so often against earmarks, yet she was for the bridge to nowhere (before she was against it), and now it’s been shown that she was getting large amounts for federal money for such a small town. To put it in better perspective, Boise, Idaho — which has more than 190,000 residents — received $6.9 million in earmarks in fiscal year 2008.
So, if you want real change, and not just someone who lies about change, vote for Obama in November.
