Col. Lawrence Wilson, aide to former Secretary of Defense Colin Powell, today accused Vice-President Dick Cheney of ignoring a presidential directive regarding treatment of prisoners by the U.S. military and advocating the use of terror.
Asked by the BBC?s Today if Mr Cheney could be accused of war crimes, he said: ?It?s an interesting question.?
?Certainly it is a domestic crime to advocate terror,? he added.

The server went down for about 2.5 hours. The main hard drive failed and all the data had to be transferred to a new one. Luckily, the data from the failed drive was recoverable.

The former chairman of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting appeared to have been motivated by politics in recruiting a new board president, the corporation’s inspectors reported on Tuesday.
Their report into the activities of Kenneth Tomlinson said “cryptic” e-mails between Tomlinson and the White House indicated by their timing and subject matter that Tomlinson “was strongly motivated by political considerations in filling the president/CEO position.” Read more…

New polling reports came out recently:
67% of Americans feel Bush is dishonest and unethical.
82% of Americans feel Bush is ?too stubborn.?
58% of Americans disagree with Bush?s foreign policy and actions with the war (merely a year ago this number was around 48%).
36% approve of his job handling (the lowest since he?s been in office, also the lowest of any president since Nixon).
So what is Bush doing to try to gain some points? He sent his entire staff to Ethics School. How sad is that when the leader of the most powerful country in the world has to send his employees to learn the difference between right and wrong? Source: Caleb.
A growing number of Republican leaders, party strategists and political professional now privately tell President George W. Bush that his presidency “is effectively over” unless he fires embattled White House advisor Karl Rove, apologizes to the American people for misleading the country into war and revamps his administration from top to bottom.
“The only show of unity we have now in the Republican Party is the belief that the President has failed the party, the American people and the presidency,” says a longtime, and angry, GOP strategist.
